In the last year, I have seen 2 or 3 Royal kits show up on E-Bay.
I thought I would like to build one too, but the sticker shock was
too much for me. If I remember right they went for well over
$ 200.00. A little high for a 60 size kit. Check on their site every
once and a while, and type, Spirit of St Louis, in the radio control,
/ Air caegory, you might find one. You could also leave a post
in the wanted to buy airplane section on this site.

That is a hard plan to find. Cleveland has a 64" span version but these are old plans and you would have to do the conversion to RC. Their number is 317-257-7878.

I am scratch buiding a 61 inch span based on my own plans. It is a lite ply fuse and a balsa covered foam wing. I am not sure how well it will work but its worth a shot.
