Default Cleaning Solution

I am getting ready to clearcoat my aircraft with KlassKote epoxy paint. I have blown the dust off with a compressor and now was wondering what is the best solution to give it a good wipe down. It is currently painted with model masters enamel. I am looking for a solution that will remove any unwanted dust, finger print oil's etc, but it can not be to harsh of a solvent. I was thinking on just plain old rubbing alcohol, as it evapourates vey quick. I will have to try it on a lacation to see what it will do to the paint. If anyone has any other idea's of what may work......................comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Default RE: Cleaning Solution

Never liked rubbing alcohol. The water in it can dampen anything not completely sealed and doesn't necessarily evaporate off a painted surface like we think it should.

I always used thinner. Whatever I was using in the paint. Denatured was next choice if the thinner was really expensive.

Tack rags are used by professionals for a very good reason.
