F117 Stealth info needed
I picked up a model of the Stealth at a swap meet; I couldn't help myself. The problem is that I don't have any information on it. No manual, no plans, no nuthin' to go on.
Here are the details: It has twin rudders which are on the V part of the tail. They are hooked together with a special linkage. The elevators are right under the V tail and are Y harnessed together. The ailerons are on the swept back part of the wing and Y harnessed together. It seems to be a standard setup with an old Futaba FG series FM 6 channel transmitter.
The wingspan is approx 43". The fuse is approx 39" long. It is of balsa construction. The previous owner must live in Siberia, as I can't locate him. When I asked the seller if he would contact the previous owner to find out what mfg. made the kit, I received no answer. It is well built and sharp. It is so different. I'm guessing it has never flown as it was pretty dusty. Probably been a hanger queen in someones garage.)
I'm attaching a small picture, and hoping for some big help. Dzl

RE: F117 Stealth info needed
I think I found it at RCM Plans. Here is their listing:
F-117A
Our Price $21.50
by Parker Leung,
42-3/8" span, 810 sq. in., .40-.46, 4-6 ch., built-up balsa and plywood, two sheets (2) 40-1/4" x 60",
A few years back, I designed a .40 size Space Shuttle, of which I believe no one had a similar design at that time, simply because it is an orbiter rather than an airplane. This design was published in the February 1992 issue of RCM, Plan No. 1110.

RE: F117 Stealth info needed
I built a F117 from scratch about 6 years ago - it looks and sounds like yours.
Question; does it have a couple of 'Extra' little 'Flaps' on the bottom (rear)of the fuse? These diverters were unique to the model and patents were pending.
IF so it is a Parker Leung design from Toronto and I may still have the plans around.
Help me out a bit here with a better set of photos.
