Default Green Monokote Paint?!?

Quick question, does anyone know a paint that will match the Green Monokote? I have to spray my canopy and cowling, I've tried every green color at my local hardware store and nothing matches. Please help.

Take a sample of your Monokote to the Home Depot and get them to do a color match for you. They are usually pretty close. I have also heard that some paint companies will match paint and make you a rattle can. Good Luck, Dave

Weegie,

Try Nelson Hobby paints. I've used their paint that matches Ultracote corsair blue and it matches perfectly. No fumes, and it can be brushed on or sprayed. Look at this link, near the bottom of the page for their color chips:

I tried Nelson for the green, unfortunatly it wasn't even close. I ended up going to an automotive paint store.

Knight, do you remember which paint you ended up using that matched?

I don't recall for sure which brand it was, I think it was sikkens though.
I took a sample of the covering to the auto paint store, he used his computer
and then did some manual mixing. I do remember it cost an arm and a leg
though. []

A substantially less expensive way to match paint is to have latex color matched. It is typically about $10 a quart. The only down side is you will need to clear coat the latex if you are using glow fuel.
