fuselage sides
Hi....
I am building a 40 size RC trainer from scratch and am trying to decide if I should go with 2 or 3mm fuselage sides (with some doubler reinforcement). 2mm dosen't look thick enough, but is 3mm an overkill (especially at doubled up areas = 6mm)
Any wisdom???

RE: fuselage sides
you might try the scratch builder forum section. if you are using doubling sounds like 2mm should be strong enough for a trainer. being that i use English measurements i can say i cant really picture the thickness of 2mm vs 3mm. i should eventually just move to metric. just too lazy sometimes.
