Default GWS in giant scale???

I bought several of the 100oz servos and even under 6V their slow...They also do not center consistantly good enough for 3D, but I have them in my Big Bingo, aileron, rudder, elevator and they do a fine job there.
I had them in a light weight Razzle and didn't care for them at all.

I think the added weight of the control surfaces helped them to center better, I don't know why but that's my experience.
At $12.50 each for a 100OZ servo it was too tempting to pass up, if you know what I mean...;^)

I do know what you mean.If I didn't have this forum to ask such a question I might not even want to try them.
I see on a site that there are some new one's that have better performance ratings.
I need 8oz per ail. I could use two smaller one's that are faster.
I need 80oz for the rudder and 100oz per elevator.
I sound so cheap. But sometimes there are diamonds in the rough.
I just figured someone else may have tried them and could tell us how they were.

I have about 20 of the smaller GWS servos. No problems with any of them. tough gearsets. Cceck out the Balsa Products website under GWS. Model BP 120 servo might be what you are looking for. 75 in/oz, .17 secs, 2 ball brgs

OOOOh, I too have a nice 1/4 scale Cap I'd like to get in the air, and it needs "better" servos...I decided to just get them one at a time untill I have enough. Tough call spending 500 bucks on servos, but the way I see it, I don't have a choice.

Good luck,
Mike

I think you're right.I should just keep saving.
I should make a beater and test them.

Aw, you don't need a beater, just any plane that speed and exact centering arn't completely nesessary.
Hmmph, a Stick, perhaps?
