Wire dimension
Depends where the plane/info comes from :
If it's 12g in American Wire Gauge (AWG) it's 2.05mm
If it's 12g in British Standard Wire Gauge (SWG) it's 2.64mm

I think it's English because the drawing of the Pitts S1 is drawn by N. McFarland and bought from modelflying.co.uk.
Is there in that case some relation between 12g and 2.64mm and for example 16g.
