Spektrum DX7 Chatter

Spektrum DX7 Chatter
I purchased a Spektrum DX7 radio system over the winter. I installed it in some airplanes over the winter and am now bringing everything out for the flying season. I turned on the transmitter and planes ( one at a time) to make sure all was/is still set up correctly. I hear a quite chattering noise coming from the transmitter and I don''t remember hearing this while setting up the airplanes. I was wondering if it is normal to hear this dull chattering noise or not? Any help would be much appreciated.

RE: Spektrum DX7 Chatter
If the ''chatter'' you speak of is more like a faint ''buzzing'' sound eminating from what seems to be between the sticks, it is normal.
It''s the voltage regulator getting it''s groove on.
Totally normal, except when it runs out of groove.
Had me questioning the first time I switched on the DX7 also.

Thanks for the reply Krener I feel a little more at ease now. We actually have a club meeting tonight so I'm hoping to confirm your answer tonight...please take no offense, just want someone else to hear it. It actually does sound like a faint buzz so we'll see what happens. Pat
