koverall question
Hi guys. I have my 1/4 scale Spacewalker all covered with koverall....(love the stuff). I used Stix-it to adhear the material, then coated the whole plane with one coat of Polycrylic. My question is, can I use talc or micro-balloons to thicken the Polycrylic on a second coat or should I do another coat of just Polycrylic first then thicken it up a bit on a third coat. I plan to put a forth coat on after sanding with 320 then prime and apply the final color. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks...Dick

RE: koverall question
i would add another layer of the poly 1st (for extra adhesion), it dries so quick. then i would add the talc to the poly. i keep 2 cans of poly at all times, 1 straight and 1 mixed with talc. what a great way to cover a plane. i can wet sand the poly to a mirror finish if i want. just be careful that you don't sand it so slick that the paint doesn't stick. i usually dry sand the last pass to avoid that problem.
