Default different kinds of fabric covering?

I'm about to put a giant star duster back on the work bench. picked it up at a swap meet 4 years ago and its about ready for covering. off the self covering for this monster would just be to much expence. I plan to use polyurathane and glass cloth on the fuse.but does anyone know of an inexpensive material?

I use Sig Koverall. It is a fabric that is plain with no adhesive and not finished. Much like the old silk and dope process only I use all latex. You could use the same process and purchase polyester dress lining at the fabric store. Do a search and you will find some articles on this.
Cheers

Ceconite, the lightest weight as it comes in several weights, but it requires a seperate adhesive. IMHO any of the tex's such as Solartex is much superior to Koveral and would also do what you want.

In what way do you find them "superior"?

They are "pre-glued" with a GOOD heat activated adhesive and MOST of the "texs" are pre-painted with a fuel proof paint. They can also be painted over easily if you so desire. For a colored fuel proof fabric, they are one of the lightest weight ones around (if not THE lightest weight fabric covering).

What Campy said plus, they go around compound curves so much better, you could even cover half a tennis ball with no wrinkles. The tex's also seem to hold better where different colors overlap. You also get more in a roll than you do with the films, slightly wider and longer which can be a big advantage on some of the larger models. If flyin on a grass or weedy field, no holes due to weed whip.
