Default Tail support wires

Building a 1/4 scale spacewalker and need to attach support wires on the tail section. I'm not really keen on the system they have in the kit. Anyone have ideas of how I can install these wires so they look nice and are adjustable. Pics would be helpfull also. Thanks

Here is an idea perhaps you can work with. I take a short piece of aluminum tube and flatten one end and drill a hole in it for a #2 screw. Then add the appropriate length of alum. tube that will fit the inside diameter of the short pieces attached to the vertical and horizontal stabs. Thin CA the long tube to the short tubes after everything is set up. Not adjustable but it sure is light weight, inexpensive and works and looks pretty good.

Could also use some threaded 56 wire with a clevis. Cut one arm off the clevis and screw the other arm into the balsa. Same at other end but solder it instead of having it threaded.

Totally adjustable.

I took this picture the other day for someone else asking a similiar question. I use about 40lb vinyl covered fishing leader wire and about 3/16" of 1/8" brass tube with a crimp. The crimp is a dimple crimper. Dont crimp too hard, it will break the wire. Never had a problem in a bunch of years using this method. The threaded piece is 2-56 turnbuckle end. Easy and adjustable. I havent done it yet but I will eventually cover the crimp with heat shrink.
