Aerokote trimmed with Monokote?
I'm about to venture into my first ARF (Four-Star 120) and I would like to customize it a little.
Does anyone know for sure if TopFlite Monokote can be floated on to Aerokote using the Windex method? I have tons of Monokote remnants lying around from kit building,,, like to use some it to save a few bucks.
Regards

RE: Aerokote trimmed with Monokote?
I don't see a problem! I would imagine that it would work on any semi-smooth surface. The only thing that determines whether or not it will adhere is covering that you will actually be applying, in this case monokote. The adhesive used in monokote is what the windex activates and creates the adhesion. I don't think there is any other film covering with an adhesive with the same porperties as monokote. I would recommend tacking the corners of the trim with the iron after the windex has dried to hold them down.
