Hi I have a hanger9-60 size spitfire A.R.F. and i am having a small problem with a lot of play in the retracks when the gear are down . the gear are locking ok down and up but when they are down they have some play . Does any one know if there is an adjustment on them to take out the play

Thank you truly hyflyer9 .

you have to remove the retract from the wing to make this adjustment. There is a set screw on the opposite side of the retract mechanism

Default RE: hanger 9 retracks

I have an Hangar 9 Texan which came with retracts that use to have the same problem (As many other Hangar 9 ARFs with retracts), the only screw that I found is the one that holds the strut wire but the faultiness is not coming from there. The problem is that they are really cheap made retracts and mechanism in there have a lot of play. I bought new retracts from Robart as well as the wire struts (wider) now they perform flaulessly.
My Hangar 9 texan may be different from your Spitfire but I bwet that the problem is the same (cheap retracts)
