Default Pulse XT40 prop size

I recently bought a Hangar 9 Pulse XT40 and have installed an O.S. 46AX and have put a Master Airscrew 12x6 prop on it. I was wondering if anyone else has fitted a similar prop to this configuration and could help me with performance of this setup. I believe this size prop will decrese top speed but increase thrust/torque for manouvers, which is what im looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

I flew my Pulse XT on an APC 12X4 prop. You have it a little mixed up: the 12X6 will give you more speed, the 12X4 gives more thrust. Even so, I was surprised at how fast the plane flew on the 12X4. It is a relatively clean airframe.

Enjoy!

Even that this size of prop. is recommended on the manual, I would go for a 11 x 6 prop. and 15% or 10% nitro fuel with a mix of synthetic and castor oil.
A 12 x 6 will provide a better responsive model at lower speeds (A good amount of mass of air trough the control surfaces) but I personally think that is asking a lot for this great engine.
Congratulations for your new engine and model and let me know how it works.

Ive flown the pulse a few times and was so impressed with how it flew and thought I would try to hover it...... And with the 46AX and MAS 12x5 prop it hovers. I was blown away with that. I had it hovering for about 30 seconds at about 4/5 throttle. It takes a little work to keep it stable while hovering. But at times it sat there like a picture. EXCELLENT combination for this aircraft.......
