Default RE: Help to I.D. R.C. Models

I have two models that I am selling for the family of a late friend.
I am sorry to hear about your friend.[] I only see pictures of one model and one engine. Both are easy to ID.

The plane is a Piper Comanche Twin. It was manufactured by Jack Stafford Models. I believe they went out of business in the last couple of years.

The engine is a K&B .61

Any other questions?
Doug

Good morning Doug
Thank you for taking the time and helping me out. I had a Senior moment with the computer & the wrong pictures got put on instead of the other model. I will try & send you the picture & also on a fuse only model . Still looking for the wing . On the first model , I had the Comanche part but not the mfg.
I am getting close to the end of his models and it has been quite an eye opener , us older modeler want to keep all of our TREASURES but someone has to deal with them after we make our final FLIGHT !!
Thanks again for the help.. Jim

Default RE: Help to I.D. R.C. Models

Good afternoon Jim,
The twin is a Pica Duelist. It is also currently manufactured as an ARF from Cox/Estes. Years ago, one of my friends let me fly his several times. It is a VERY fast plane with no bad habits!

The fuselage has me a bit perplexed. It looks a lot like a Jim Kimbro Deception that I used to have. The fin is too tall and the clear portion of the canopy is shaped differently. The little tail skid is throwing me off too. It could be a slightly modified Deception, maybe a Kaos derivative, or even a Dirty Birdie. [sm=confused.gif]A couple more pics showing the tail and the bottom of the fuselage might help me ID it for you.

Hi Doug
Thanks again for the info. , I will try & send some pic. of the fuse a little later . I am moving some gravel right now before it gets 100 today. I do not do well in the heat & Sacramento is getting hot . We have had some really bad fires in Calif. Hope your doing better.
The Comanche does not have engines but has 6 servos & retracks,, the other one has 2 new O.S. .40 's 5 servos and retracks.
Trying to come up with a fair price for each for posting . Hope to find someone close by as shipping can be a pain & expensive .
Catch you later . Jim
