Default question on covering

looking for advise on how to get rid of the curl in my covering material. as soon as u unroll it off the tube it's got the major curl to it and makes it hard to work with. how do you take that curl out and get the covering more or less flat before u start covering your plane?

Try rolling the covering the opposite direction. Might work. If you are cutting out trim pieces, I usually tape it down so it won't roll up. Good Luck, Dave

Just unroll it the night before and let it lie flat on the bench overnight. Tape it down if you have too. It'll be flat the next morning.

I use a couple of 60" by 2" metal scales to lay on it. Also gives me a cutting edge.
