If it's from a RedMax weedeater, then it's a typical Zenoah engine.

Default RE: anyone used a weed eater motor

I have a couple from weedeaters my neighbor got tired of. One is a 19CC and the other is a 25CC. I gave them both to my buddy who stripped all the unnecessary metal, including turning the flywheel on his lathe to reduce its size and weight. They will spin up to an 18" prop and are very reliable. I don't have them mounted them yet, but he has a couple of 1/4 scale birds powered by converted weedeaters and are a blast to fly. One of them he installed an electronic spark advance that does away with the bulky flywheel and makes it more streamlined to fit into a narrow cowling like a P51's. You also MUST use a resistor type plug to avoid radio interference, otherwise you will end up with pile of wood.[X(] The mount can be fashioned out from the metal section from Home Depot or Lowes. I bent and created my own from strip aluminum for my Zenoah that powers with Bud Nosen 1/4 Citabria.
