Back when Bellanca was producing them, the company test pilot called them like WowBagger said. At least that is what he said to me during my flight training in a 7ECA.

Later!

Oh, I see, it's Airbatic. They never have been able to keep that a secret. But shouldn't it be Aerobatic???

I've flown almost every model back to the "original" 7ac. They are slow, cold, and noisy, but I still love them.

Yeah, but then it would be Citaborea. Si-tab-o-rea. Sounds too much like diarrhea. I can hear the talk at the field now:

Guy #1 - "Hey, where'd that dude go with his diarrhea?"
Guy #2 - "I would imagine to the bathroom"
Guy #1 - "Why would he take his plane into the bathroom?!?"
Guy #2 - "Oh! You must mean his Citaborea."

And I think Storch sounds just like it looks, with a 'che' sound at the end, opposed to a 'ck' sound.

Storch is just german for stork (the bird) I believe. So you could just say stork.

How the germans pronounce it only they know, probably like torch but with the 'S'.

Any germans on the board?
