Default trim covering problem

I have had from time to time the pine stripes (either Ultra Cote or monocoe) come off after awhile. I have tried ironing the pine stripes down but this is not always foolproof. What I thought of doing was to paint along the edges of where the plastic overlapes (either over the entire pinstripe or along edges of other covering). In rare instances have also had the covering come loose where there is monocote over monocote or ultra over ultra, so thought painting along these edges would help. I thought of using Midwest Aerogloss clear for this job. Would this be OK or are there some better suggestions. Thanks.

are you cleaning your airplanes with glass cleaner with ammonia in it?
you can seal the edges with acetone but be careful not to use too much

I use various cleaning products, but when I use glass cleaner, I use the cleaner without ammonia, since someone told me that the ammonia would eventually dull the monocote (don't know if this is true or not). Om sea;omg tje edges. do you lift up the edge, or just use the acetone over the seam?

I've had reasonably good results on Coverite 21st Century film (NOT fabric) with nail polish remover. Its active ingredient is acetone, but it's a bit diluted. It certainly doesn't damage the film.

Your idea is the best Aerogloss clear. That is fuel proof the others are not.

Right on jetmech and sherman.Windex and other ammonia based window cleaning solvents will also remove or at best wrinkle your car window tint too.The ammonia fully penetrates the plastic film and releases the underlying glue base which is then removed by evaporation.
