Differance between S-PCM and Z-PCM
I just bought a JR 9303 radio and I want to get a PCM receiver for my gas plane. When I look at receivers I see two types of PCM. There is S-PCM and PCM. What is the differance and is there an advantage of one over the other. Also when I go into my programming menu there is a choice of S-PCM and Z-PCM, what is the differance???
Any advice would be appreciated.

RE: Differance between S-PCM and Z-PCM
ZPCM is an older PCM system that has 512 bit resolution whereas SPCM has 1024 resolution, which results in greater servo accuracy. The only reason JR includes ZPCM is to provide backward compatibility with older receivers.
All JR receivers have a reputation for quality and IMHO the cream of the crop are the NER-649S, which has been around for ages for a good reason and the R2000 synthezised receiver. Both use S-PCM.
