Paint on Monokote
I am in the middle of doing this now and it seems to be going well.
Prep the monokote by scuffing with 000 Steel wool
Vacuum off the particles of steel wool
use a tack cloth to remove any other dust
clean the surface with acetone
paint away
I am using chevron perfect paint with perfect thinner. I originally tried a different thinner and was getting a lot of "fish eye". Depending on the colors you are using, you may need to spray a coat of white before your final cover. I am going over red with white and two shades of yellow. The yellow would not cover the red at all.

Paint on Monokote
I used 77 glue thinned with lighter fluid to prime the monokote. 77 makes the surface so sticky, that any paint will stay forever.
I have done my ME-109 that way, so I white ultrakote with dope. after 6 months still looks good.

Paint on Monokote
I used white primer (monokote) and then white monokote to get shine. If no steel wool use a 400 or close to it sandpaper. If your going to camoflague an ac forget the primer and just paint it.
