Are the lead weights contacting anything else that is metal? .....antenna wire, push rod, tail wheel assembly, etc? If so then insulate them somehow. Otherwise I say the jittering is coincidence.

???? Doesn't seem to me that the lead would cause anything unless as has been said they contact any other metal. However, Is it not possible for you to achieve proper balance without having to use weight? Since you haven't said what size or plane you have would it be possible to move batteries to where the lead is? I have done that with one of my 1/4 scales. Hate to add unuseful weight.

Thanks guys,

here is some more info.

The lead is epoxied to a piece of lite ply
I used to mount the tail wheel servo.
As for dead weight, it is 1 ounce that
balanced my plane.

GP 40 stick with a Saito 82 with Futaba 2.4
and a 12oz. tank.

FWIW

I replaced the servo with a larger one and used only
one half ounce of lead to re-balance. No servo jitters
so far.
