Black Baron and Solartex covering
Anyone out there who has used Black Baron and/or Solartex coverings please advise the upside and the downside as well with both coverings. Thank you.

Black Baron and Solartex covering

Are you referring to both Black Baron and Solartex as being easy to use? I've only tried Monokote and Ultracote up to now.

Black Baron and Solartex covering
I have used Black Baron film for a long time. It is easy to get around corners, shrinks well, low temp for use on foam. It does stick to its self and you can not get it apart. It is easy to punh holes in. It was between Hobby Shack Flight cote and Monacote.
I liked Goldberg colortex for a fabric look. I tried the Solartex and it worked but I could not get it in a color I wanted so I had to paint it. Other then that it worked well.

Black Baron and Solartex covering
I use lots of Solartex (Worldtex and Colortex is the same product) and think it goes on much easier than any of the films, is stronger, goes around compound curves much better than films, joints stick better and is much stronger. It does have two drawbacks though. 1: if you do not cover with a clearcoat, dirt gets into the weave and is very hard to clean and 2: dont use it to cover a non rigid structure such as a senior telemaster wing, it will let the wing give to much when you apply aileron controls, i.e. twist easily. In most cases, Solartex is my covering of choice.
