Does anyone know about how to build a catapult? I have a few key questions:
1. What's the significance of the inclination angle
2. How do I construct an effective holdback for the full throttled plane (not the holdback for the shuttle (carrage))?
3. What are the structural points that require strenght (esp. when the catapult is prepped for launch)?

Thanks!

Maybe you should be looking for the catapultuniverse.com page. This is the RCUniverse.com page which is RC Airplanes.

one question how cotrolable is the model at the first 21 feet of launch.looks safer than the old hand launching but is there enough time to correct for an out of time condition on a new model test flight?

Geez, sorry for my smart ***** answer. Didn't realize you were trying to launch scale birds with it. Looks like it could cause all kinds of trouble. Would be fun to play with though.

Tks!

As for control issues, does that mean that it would be better if the force acting on the bird by the carrage should be acting below the CG? In this way, the bird would tend to pitch up (minimally, hopefully the bird doesn't stall) and get away from the ground immediately from launch?

Also, my bird maybe a little heavy if I decide to add stuff to it. Maybe going above 4 lbs. So then where would be the best places to strengthen my cat since the momentum is gonna be huge?

BTW Tattoo, nice pic of the cat. Does anyone knows where I can find other big-ass cats like the one in the pic?

Thanks again!
