Default OKC Hobby Shop

I have a friend in the Oklahoma City area who is getting into the hobby and is looking for a decent R/C plane shop. I appreciate any input.

Thanks,

Bob

Realm is the closest to me so i go to it a lot. Mikes Models is owned by Mike McMurtry who's son is Sean McMurtry who flies aerobatics and was in the Tuscon shoot out in the Fall. Oklahoma Hobbies and RC is the best place for helis and cars. the guy who owns it fly's helis and is very knowledgeable and willing to help people get them flying. Realm and Oklahoma hobbies both hold RC swap meets in the parking lots once a year.

I usually go to the Realm as it's the easiest for me to get to from OKC. I don't go to Oklahoma much anymore since weird Mike sold the shop. I go to Mike's when I am further up into "The City", or passing through OKC. Now that Les isn't working there any longer I like going in there again!!! Mike and Sean McMurty at Mike's models and Jim at The Realm are all fantastic people that will do just about anything they can to help you out. They are truly some of the best in the hobby

A flying buddy of mine went to both The Realm and Mike's last friday and said that both of them are stocked up for Christmas.

Yeah, I saw that they moved across the highway. I just haven't had a chance to go in there since they have moved.
