Default GP Ultimate Owners, Help!

I was hoping someone out their who owns a GP Ultimate could help me. I'm going to buy the engine tomorrow and I'm having alot of trouble deciding between the .72 and the .91 Saito.

For those of you with a .72 (or an engine with similiar power) will it hover with this engine? Or do I need to go up to the .91 to hover?

Default GP Ultimate .40

This design typically comes in at around 6 pounds. To hover you will need at least a true 9 pounds of thrust. The Saito .91 is sure to give that.........the .72 might come up to that if you are using 30% nitro.

I have the .72

Great flier, but it is too heavy to hover with the 72, it takes almost full throttle.

It is a shame that GP uses balsa that heavy. I'd like to scratch build one with light balsa and FG cowl and pants, I bet you can spare up to 1lb!!!

The 91 would be fine but you'll have to work with the throttle. The airframe is very strong. Too strong for a .40 plane, in my opinion-> that makes it so heavy.

Good luck!
