There is one on flea bay right now and I have the current 'high' bid....so don't go to:

That looks like a nice vintage Kommander, good luck in your bidding. No worries, "I'm to finish what I have before I can buy anymore."

I tend to get that way with static display plastic models that are rare, reissued etc. I have so many that I may not live long enough to build them all.

I've got ten craft flying, 12 kits in a closet, and one on the bench. Once when I picked up a new kit the wife asked why do I need another plane?
I said,"They're like women's shoes." , and proceeded to my shop. She's never commented again.[sm=wink_smile.gif]

Ah, guys...I just tried that "dollar a day" comment on the bride....she just gave me that "one eyebrow raised" look and said I'd better get to ordering that Dog House plan. All is not lost though as she also said I could live in IT for a dollar a day.....
I'd better think about that one for a bit...

RE: Kits sitting in the box...
I have about 15 or 20 old , out of production scale kits. All the stuff that I couldn't afford when I was younger and then later they became available on Ebay. Each and everyone is a diamond in my eyes. I hope to build them all, but they might just bury some of them with me. And that would be fine by me.
I have a few ARFs also, maybe 3 or 4.
I'm not opposed to building newer stuff. I intend to. But I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get my hands on some of those old kits.
Short answer is about .......................20

My stash is small, but so is my budget. 5 built aircraft, 1 flyable. 1 TF C182 half built, 2 Kadet Seniors on the bench now waiting until I get home next week to start. 6 or 7 Plastic models in the closet on the highest shelf.

RE: Kits sitting in the box...
I can see now that I am a terrible slacker with 1 kit mostly completed on the building board, a four star 120. I have a set of plans only for my next build, a small Vickers Wellington.
I'm currently flying one ARF, a Senior Telemaster and I've got a couple kit built electrice sailplanes, Hobby Lobby Skimmers in reserve.
I'm going to use this thread to convince my lovely wife that we have NOT been keeping up with the Jones's and I am extremely thrifty and deserving of a Top Flight P40 with a nice four stroke and retracts.........

You guys are making me feel bad. I ony have 30 kits and 15 sets of plans. I wonder if I'll ever get them built. My current building rate is about one a year but I am retired now and may be able to do 2 or 3 a year. Not into ARF's.

RE: Kits sitting in the box...
I am sitting a few, just waiting till I am ready. Glad I got them, would not part with any as most are older kits with very good wood and are very good kits.
I wish I had got a few more of the planes I really like, did not know they would go away. I have the plans for my favorts and can build anyway.

Guys, its a sickness for which there is no cure or medication to ease the side effects. So happy building and buying. if I end up in the doghouse I'll just take my stash with me and borrow some glue when I get there! Happy buying............sugarfox
