Default OS 48 Surpass

Does anyone have the feeler gages that come with the OS .48 Surpass engine? I have the engine, it's running rough, I want to check the gap but I didn't get the feeler gauge with the engine and all I need is the proper gap settings.

Thanks....

The gauges are .04 mm(.0015in.),thin one . .10mm(.004 in.)thick one . Adjust so the thin one will pass but the thick one won't. I always set the intake the closest ( that valve shrinks when running ) & the exhaust a little loose ( it expands when running ). Good luck, MAX H.

you can get the proper thickness gauges at the auto parts store

But you will need the proper size metric 1.5mm hex key wrench and a small 4 mm open or box wrench to fit the nut

I use the OS kit

Thanks to all.

big max 1935: I will purchase the necessary gages from the local auto parts dealer.

w8ye: I fly helicopters so I have all manner of meteric wrenches - thanks.

gaRCfield: If I can't find what I need at the parts place, I'll buy from Tower - didn't know it was the same wrenches for all 4 strokes!?!?

Most all the model airplane four strokes have the same valve setting dimensions as noted already.

Sears sells a nice set of feeler blades that are marked in inches and millimeters. Range .001 to .035.
