Default shutdown issue-Magnum 91

Hi all;
I'm just finishing the break-in on my new Magnum 91 4 stroke, (on a stand). Runs great and I have about 45 minutes on it so far. When I pull the throttle all the way back to shut down, the motor still ticks over for a bit before finally coughing to a stop. The carb barrel is fully closed. Any ideas?
Thanks!!

You might have an air leak where the carb is seated to the crank case. Try loosening the two screws, pressing down on the carb and while you're holding that pressure, re-tighten the screws.
