4 stroke throttle linkage problem
I have a 4 stroke which has the carby at the rear of the engine. Question is, how do i connect the throttle linkage to the engine when the fuel tank is in the way?

RE: 4 stroke throttle linkage problem
nobody says the pushrod need to be straight. You got some pics of the set-up there are several ways to do it.
I prefer using gold n rod. Flex cable works to but this is less prone to interferance and no soldering. it goes around corners pretty well. you can loosen the control horn on the motor slightly to acomidate the weird angle.
Also a stright pushrod doesn't have to be stright. it need to be stright going away from the servo and out the firewall. if you get the pushrod out an extream corner or off to one side enough to get around the tank once it exits the firewall make a 90 degree bend up to the carb and another to line up with the pushrod.
or come out the firewall and make a smooth bend upo around the back side of the carb

Du-Bro also nakes up some really cool linkage that mounts on the side of the motor mount. Iusually bend wire or cable but I have taken what Du-Bro makes and designed my own from control line bell cranks and parts. A little rip off but what the heck, I have the parts in my building box.
