Default Hardwood Standoffs

I need to make 4 hardwood standoffs for a 3W 55i. Can someone tell me how to construct these?
Thanks.

1" diameter oak dowels from the hardware store.  I'm running them on a 40cc.  Will probably do it on my DL50 too.  Center drill all the way through then counter sink for a nut on the firewall end.  Then I use 10-24 all thread cut to length.  Red locktite behind the firewall, red locktite on the front side of the firewall then blue locktite when bolting the engine on.  Use big fender washers on both sides of the firewall to spread the load, minimum 1".
