Hitec 635 hb buzzing
Hi all... Got an H9 frenzy all ready to test fly. Elevators and ailerons have hitec hs 635hbs on em ( two each) and they are buzzing. Seem to work ok, but wondering if the buzzing is normal or not. I have tose rings on the elevator leads to stop interferance and am useing a 6 volt, 1000 mah pack.
Any ideas???

RE: Hitec 635 hb buzzing
Hitech makes great servos.....the 635 is an analog servo, therefore its not digital buzz you're hearing......
that means that your servo or servos are in a bind somewhere.....does the buzzing stop when you disconnect the pushrod from the control horn?
If so you might need to relocate the control horn or perhaps there is a slight bend in the pushrod......somewhere the is a preload that should not be there......
An analog servo that buzzes will drain the battery quicker and have a shorter life...good luck in your search

Hitec servos do not like the 6V battery pack. Use a regulator to bring the voltage down.

Hitec's rating for 6 volt means 6.0 volt, not the 7 volts of a freshly charged pack. This is a common complaint with the lipo crowd. It is easily handled by using a 6 volt regulator to absorb the overvoltage.
The binding can be confirmed or ruled out by hooking up a 4.8 volt pack. If the buzzing disappears, pick up a regulator.

RE: Hitec 635 hb buzzing
I have the 635's on a U-Can everywhere but rudder, and throttle. I'm running a 5 cell 2700mah 6V battery with no buzzing. I'm also running some of the new HS-5485 HB's on same 6V battery set up with no buzzing.
