Monokote on metal?
Opinion (or knowledge sharing) time fellows. I'm thinking of using Monokote on the aluminum gear of my latest plane. Seems like it should stay in place if you totally wrap the gear so the Monokote is adhering to itself rather than the metal. Agree? Disagree?

RE: Monokote on metal?
I have used Ultracote on metal landing gear with great results. I had to use a high temperature to get the metal up to temp so the Ultracote would stick but it lasted years and looked great. I havent had much luck making Monocote stick to metal though you could try and see, whats to loose?

Just paint the gear. Why bother with monokote when a paint job is much easier?
