Default Built up engine nacels

Was wondering if any one has scratch built some engine nacels.
I am building a seaplane and was looking for some Ideas.
I was going to go with a single engine mounted like the "seawind"
or maybe a twin with the engines on the wings. not sure yet.

Thanks Dave

Shouldn't be that hard. All you need is a couple formers, some thin stringers and sheeting.

Put a former around the front bearing of the motor. A donut shaped former. Size it to the same size as your intended spinner. Cut notches in it for the stringers. Run balsa stringers back to the fuselage. Maybe run a couple long stringers from way back under the hatch (fore deck) area out to the front former for added strength? Sheet it with 1/16" balsa or maybe even 1/64th ply.

Yes, I use simple underwing tubs on two twins, a Quad and a sixer. I also pictured the same basic tubs inverted to simulate the nacelles of the Champion Lancer.

I have a Dave Platt Duellist kit and have looked at the plans. It has nacelles similar to above but they fair above and below the wing. Look at post #39 in this build thread, http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_71..._1/key_/tm.htm . This type nacelle requires that it be built on the wing as it fits above and below the wing aft of the wing taper.
