Default futaba vs jr throttle

i own a futaba 7c, realflight tx and 4yf. both have 30 (i think its 30) throttle positions. i got to fly another memebers plane with a jr 9303 (i think) and while i like where the 7c switches and the feel of it better, i loved that the jr has waaaaayyyy more throttle positions. is this only on the more expensive models? like the 9303+. does a more expensive futaba have this feature, im thinking about getting the 10c.
if not i think i have a simple mod that i could do to fix this problem, just file the throttle notches down/or away. then tighten the little metal clip down as hard as possible. this will make it smoother, im just worried about it being to loose and moving around when i use the rudder (which i do a lot). has anyone done this? or is their another mod?

I have a futaba 8U, and all i did was loosen the tension on the throttle. If the tension is adjustable, Try tightening the rudder so you wont have issues.

My older JR 10X has 40 , and i have an old 8uaps Futaba that has 30...I am assuming that todays higher end models would have more than 30

With the JR radios, you can do away with the notched throttle by fitting the smooth strap to the stick tension slide. Then there is no throttle steps on stick just smooth. Never had Futaba gear so I can't say.

Cheers

On my Futaba 12FG, I can adjust the amount of ratcheting on the throttle stick all the way down to zero without having to open up the transmitter.

The throttle stick does not move from where you set it, even with no ratcheting at all.

Helicopter radios don't have ratchets. After letting some guys fly my 3D planes on a heli radio I have often found myself converting thier airplane radios for smooth throttle action.
