Default OS 60 FP

I bought a used GPCorsair .60 and it has a new OS .60 FP. installed in it. The guy I bought it from said he had never started the engine and it does look brand new.. I bought the plane mainly for the Robart retracts , as I`m building the kit myself. Have a Satio 1.00 for it.
Can anyone tell me how powerful this engine is ? I have a Clipped wing Goldberg Cub that I`m putting floats on and wonder if this motor has enough power to pull the Cub . I have had a ST GS.40 ,Magnum 52 and a Saito .72 on it in the past . The Saito .72 was the best out if the 3 ,but right now is pulling my Twist around .
I have read a few reviews that said the OS.60FP did not have as much power as a 52 4 stroke ,and dont want to take the time to install it, if it`s that weak . Anyone familar with this engine ? Any info is greatly appreciated. Also have a ST.61 and a ST.75that could be used for it.

You are very lucky to have a new one of those engines. Very reliable and very sooth engine probably one of the best engines ever made by O.S. They have 1.6bhp and will out power a 52 with ease at the top end very good engine. Perfect for what you want to use it for and will be quite light for it's size aswell.

The OS 60 FP was one of the best engines made by OS. They were not real power houses, but they run like a clock and are trouble free. As we speak I still have 2 of them that I fly on a regular basis and I use a Master Airscrew 11 X 7.5 prop. Good Luck, Dave
