I'm almost certain this model was a construction feature in one of the magazines and is not a kit. I just don't remember which magazine I saw it in!

In response to your question of WHAT IS THIS?? It is definitely an Orline Deweyville Special with a few personal touches added to it. It is a nice looking plane!! Is it yours? If so, where did you get it? Have you flown it yet? They are great flying airplanes. I have two in the box and an extra set of plans for scratch building it. I hope to get around to it some year (HA)!!

Thank you all for your responses.
It is not mine, Nevin.
These are pictures that a friend found in Internet some time ago and passed on to me.
As soon as I saw the pictures, I wanted to build one, but I did not know what plane it was, or anything about it.
That is the reason I started this thread.
Could you tell me about the kid?
Wingspan, engine or motor, channels, estimated weight, etc.
Was it a real airplane?
Again, thanks!

I suppose its possible, but there are major differences between the two
IF in fact it is, it has been pretty bashed into what you see
none of the strut mounts match the deweyville
deweyville has canopy not open cockpit
the deweyville has a raised rear fuse behind cockpit, with stringers tapering down to tail.
the rudder and fin are totally different,
the dewey has a closed cowl
Much more dihedrial in Deweyville wing.
Like i said it could be... Just dont plan on building a Deweyville it wont look like that without your own customization

RE: Can anybody recognize this model?
either a "one off" design scratch-build OR cobbled together from bits and pieces of other planes... Different part reminiscent of many different planes... ?????????? Kind of neat-looking though.... Re-drawing the fuselage would be pretty easy from the pics, a BUSA Stck 40 wing kit modified with the Fokker ailerons, some struts, and you got it...

I concor with Chad and I do remember a construction artical for this distinctive fantasy fighter, Perhaps Model Aviation in the eighties.
What it is not, is a scale airplane representing any full a scale airplane. Its no more a Fokker than the dozens of Ugly Stick versions over the years.
Building or bashing Foo Fighters and Foo Bombers is lot of fun and I like what this desiger did using a grossly oversized Fokker D7 vertical tail and the Elephant Ear ailerons.

RE: Can anybody recognize this model?
I printed the pics and laid them on my desk... This thing is "growing on me"... I think I am going to have to draw up a set of plans and put this one in my "build list"... Construction would be very straight-forward with the un-tapered wing and flat fuselage sides and bottom. Stick-building that tail would be a "no brainer", too... This pics look like a flat-bottomed wing, I think I would use a semi-symmetrical to improve aerobatic performance. A weedie conversion up front (maybe a Jen Feng 26cc or a Homie 25cc) and it should make a GREAT Sunday flyer that has some visual appeal... I am thinking about maybe 72" span. Anybody got and thoughts/comments/suggestions?
