I want the Fighterbird Sonic Gun to work on an Aerobird
Anyone know of a way to get the Fighterbird Sonic Gun to work on an Aerobird?
I know it will work on a Firebird XL as a friend of mine did it. He opened the
XL and found the connector on the board. He hooked up the gun and it worked
perfectly. Now his XL fights with the Fighterbirds.
The Aerobird is a three channel plane so the electronics are different.
HobbyZone says it won't work, but they said that about the XL also.
Any ideas?

I would think the electronics in this plane are nearly the same. They probably just pulled the extra channel (which is the sonic module)into use with the elevator. You could maybe split the channel. However, you would also have to go up as you shoot, due to the channel being connected to the elevator. There would be no simple way to add another channel to the TX. Have you looked inside to see if there is any kind of solder points where the header would have been for the the sonic module. They may have just run wires from that location.

I have not compared the Aerobird board to the Fighterbird's. I believe the sonic gun is activated by pulling all the way back on the throttle. Might work on the Aerobird, I just don't know where to look or what to attach. That is why I asked the community.
