Default Splined shaft U-Joint Supplier

A friend of mine is working on his 1/8 scale steam locomotive and is looking for the part described below. I know this is not exactly RC, but he is using a sail capstan servo...

TIA for your help.


Do you have / know of a supplier for splined shafting and U-joints. The servo for the blower valve (3.5 turn guy) is going to be on the tender and the valve is on the loco. Both the distance and angle vary as the train turns and goes over undulations on the track. I was thinking of a U-joint at both ends with nested square shafting to transmit the torque but allow for the varying distance.

Try the electric or gas racecars. I think they use something like this for swing axles etc.
