Default Using Futaba crystal in a GWS 8 ch rx

I was wondering if a standard Futaba 72 mhz crystal (DC?) can be used in a GWS 72 mhz 8 ch rx. I'm guessing the rx is single conversion but it's not marked. It has the prongs for the larger crystal not the mini.

Am I asking for it?
Thanks

According to Radical RC http://www.radicalrc.com/rrcxtalexchange1208.html the GWS & Futaba DC crystals are an exact match. Plug the crystal in and see if it works.

DC crystals can't be used in single conversion recievers.

My question would be, is your plane worth more or less than the 8 dollars it costs to get the proper crystal?

Errr I am pretty sure GWS do 8 channel dual conversion Rxs on 72 cos I got one. Mine works just fine with a Futaba dual conversion crystal.

J.
I wouldn't have questioned it if mine said "dual conversion" like yours does.
Mine is similar but doesn't specify conversion. See website details in my last post above.

The picture J posted is model GWRD-8.
The receiver on the linked site is model GWR-8M, so they are totally different.
