Old Futaba connector
I inherited some RC planes and some of the equipment is several years old. I am trying to get everything back in flying condition. On one of the planes, I had to replace the receiver battery. It was a Futaba NR-4C. I could not find a replacement battery but found several similar batteries that were compatible with Futaba NR-4QB. The connector on the old battery has 3 wires and the new battery has only 2. I figured I could take the old battery apart and figure out where the third wire went to, but the battery was too corroded inside so I couldn't tell where it was connected. Anyone know how the old battery packs were wired and why 3 wires (positive, negative and ???)
Thanks for your help!

RE: Old Futaba connector
Now I hate to date myself but there was a time when digital proportional radios first came out late in the 60's & early 70's that had 3 wire battery packs and 4 wire servos.
As I recall the extra wire was a center tap on the 4.8V battery pack.
I've got a lot of the old Proline & Kraft servos with the 4 wires.
