Trying to figure out how to charge my smoke system battery without installing another charge switch. Can i charge it thru the receiver or switch i already have installed ,i dont really want to cut another hole in my plane ?

On my extra, I just unplug the smoke battery to charge it. On that plane it is a piece of cake since the canopy comes off. Maybe fabricate some sort of "Y" or lead coming off your battery for charging? Not sure how the smoke pump circuitry being connected would affect charging though.

nope (not that i know of), just solder a regular rx plug to the batt and throw that outside the plane, its not anywhere near as big as a switch

I use 1/8", 3.5mm, monaural audio jacks and plugs
for my electrical system. Yes, there is a hole on the side
of the plane but it isn't very large or noticable.

Cut the hole for what ever kind of jack or remove for separate charging anything else is a bad idea.
