Nope, never. If you post your question in the giant scale forum you may get a lot more replys. What glow engine are you running in a 42% plane?? Just wondering?

Then any of the on board systems will work for you. The Expert is a nice one. I'm still using 72 and the drivers have no effect or RF at all. Makes starting a cowled engine a lot easier. I'm not a big believer in using them but they do have there reasons.

Yes, I was using one in my H9 P-51 till I sold the plane. Only had 4 flights on it before I sold it, but it worked great. 42% Products is good stuff. I have the DX7 and was using the AR7000 Rx.

Hi!
An On board glow system is totally unnecessary on all engines! Certainly more so on the extremely easy to use OS 1.60!

I use a 42% on board glow system to keep the 5 plugs on my Os radial lit and an Airtronics 2.4 for control
