I was given a gp ultimate bipe that was in fair shape that I am repairing
Once I am done repairing and flight testing I want to recover it
What is the best way to get all that old covering off
thanx

Use a heat gun and gloves and peel it off.
Note low-temp films (i.e econokote) will leave the color on the wood. That will have to be scraped off. High-temp films may leave a little color on the wood.

use a scalpel to cut and pel up the edges, and then just pull it off with your hands. it works well. i like using scalpels because they can be a lot sharper than hobby knives, and peel up edges really well.
