Default Aircraft letterings

Need a few leads as to where I can find large wing and fuse NC with numbers. The Sig Waco SRE is a perfect example what I need . It's for a Stinson 108-3. Sig does not have them anymore. Really need a reply please. MM

If your airplane is covered with Monokote or Ultracoat type covering you have choices...
1 you can cut letters out of covering material using a stencil as a guide
2 you can go to a sign shop and have them cut out of vinyl

if you're covered in cloth you can paint it on...

Good luck

Mike,

I have done exactly what jetmech suggests several times. Both painted and film covering. It's cheap and easy. I used shelf paper as stencils for the painting and ultracote ironed on with low heat. I've used the windex method to apply Monokote lettering. All of these methods have worked well. Good luck.

I had very good service from Callie Graphics for the custom stencils on my Tiger Moth. Same excellent service from Tailormade Decals for the decals and stencils for my F-22. Either will make the size you specify and the font you want. For me, unless this is a very large plane, stick on graphics are not an option. Either a stencil and paint them on or for small nomenclature, decals work well.

Try,

www.cfcgraphics.com

Does plenty of custom graphics and lettering of all sizes. Pricing can't get any better either.

I know because that's me!

You can also find someone with a Cricket Machine. My wife has one that she uses for scrap booking, but it cuts Ultracoat with ease and makes some nice letters and numbers with a wide variety of fonts and sizes. Good Luck, Dave
