To Flap or not...
SIG 4 * 60 with Futaba 9C radio...any experience with Flaps or Flaperons, I should say? Do I really need them? What can I do with them better than without? Any specific programming you wish to share?

Well you certainly don't NEED them. This plane flies plenty slow just the way it is. One thing to keep in mind; if you lower flaps, you have less aileron deflection available for roll control.
Flaps can be fun to experiment with and they look really nice on some scale planes. Give it a try, but start with very small amounts.

If the aileron runs the full leingth of the wing you could use flaperons but if they are outboard on the wing you might create some problems for your self with washout, or washin can't remember but I asked the same question and got this responce in such a way that it made perfect since but now can't remember exactly how it went. In order for flaps to work properly and create the desired effect they must be inboard.
