Default Loose FS muffler

Any hints or tips on how to make the muffler on an O.S. 180 fs to stay tight at the head.
I'm afraid to crank down on the lock nut any tighter and I've tried Loctight but heat makes it release.
I can get a little heavy handed and just feel like those threads will give before I do.

Try putting some Red RTV Silicone on the threads it works good on my Saito's. The Silicone is made by permitex.

The high temp RTV is a great tip. Also, try getting the engine warm then re-torquing the lock nut while it is still hot.

I just had the problem today, just tightened it down when it was hot and it fixed the problem. If I would have had any RTV at the field I would have used it too.
