Default 2.4GHz radio/receiver compatibility

I currently fly a Walkera 4G3 helicopter with the 2.4GHz WK-2601 radio. I'd like to use this radio in setting up a park-flyer, possible a foamie. Will 2.4GHz radios link up to other brands of receivers. I need a micro receiver that is compatible with HS-55 servos. This radio lists that is has automatic scanning and code pairing; I'm just not sure if it will link to anything but its own receiver. Thanks for any advice.

Usually no.

2.4 is pretty much brand specific.
