Need help balancing my Funtana

All:
Recently I purchased a used Funtana from a lhs. The Funtana has a ws of 72"
It has an Zenoh G26 up front. The on-line manual says to CG balance it at 6 3/8 to 6 3/4" from the leading edge at the fus.
When done at this distance, it is extremely nose heavy.
One of my questions, as this my first gas powered plane. Can I locate the ignition battery way back in the fus without creating noise issues
with the receiver/servos? I will be using a JR 9303 2.4 receiver.

Also does anyone know if there have been any rev's to the CG point?

You can mount both batteries in the tail if you want. You can also move you gas tank to the cg under the wing. That should help. If you still need tail weight, you can mount your servos in the tail.

I have two gassers with the servos in the tail. Works for me.

The Funtanas called for 1.25 glow or 20cc gas. A Saito 20cc gas engine is 30 ounces with muffler and ignition. A Zenoah G20 is 41 ounces complete. A G26 is 53 ounces.

Even after moving a bunch of stuff you may need lead in the tail.

I would move the firewall before adding lead.

Moving the firewall is pretty easy. It only takes a couple of hours.

Gimme a break.

He has a plane made for up to a 20cc engine and he's putting in a 26cc and you would go through all of the trouble of moving the firewall rather than add a little lead?

To each his own. But I would add a little lead and never give it another thought. You'll have MORE than enough power to compensate.

To each his own.
You got that right!! :D

Moving servos and or battery's would most likely take care of the balance. But if you want to be like Minn and add LEAD to your light weight, high-performance aerobatic model, you can do that too.
