RE: Radios
One JR 9303=-holds as many airplanes that I ever care to have ready to fly at any one time-works easily for me and I have not had any trouble in four years-I was a futaba user before the JR-the radio business can be like the charger business-have a new one every two years because it is the latest greatest-I guess I am getting old and slow.

Futaba 9C on 72mhz for all my planes (nitro and gas powered) and a Spectrum DX6i for all my electric helsi, 120SR as there is no other option. When I move to a 450 class (and eventually glow) I will probably keep it on the DX6i as well.

Hmmm "Last Radio I will ever need".
I can remember muttering that exact same phrase when I purchased this radio in 1970 from Brookhurst Hobbies, Anaheim Calfornia for 199.95. Oh my how wrong I was[X(] And there have been dozens litterally in the technology parade ever since right up to my last two radio purchases which were A9's (Oh man I sure do love that sexy gal they found for the voice to yell at me every time my airplane battery or tx battery is too low). Now due to the miracle of Hitecs 2.4 system I am able to use that old black tranny once agine and just flew it last weekend. Another nostagia kick to tell us how much better we have it these days. Nope If you are a true enthusiast there will never ever be a final "last Radio". John |

RE: Radios
Just recently switched to Spektrum DX-8.Bought it when it had the 3 receivers and telemetry with it.I still needed a few more receivers
to swap all my planes over,so I bought the same DX8 deal and kept receivers and telemetry and sold the new DX8. I still have a Futaba 9CAP with a 72 mhz synthesized and Frsky 2.4 as my backup radio. |
RE: Radios
I have a Spektrum DX8 and a Jr 10SXII on 2.4 and also 72mhz. I like them both But I use the DX8 more. But now I need 12 channels for my Scale needs. It never ends. John T.
